Sascha Kraus was born in 1979 and is a German photographer.
He works as a freelance photographer and artist and traveled many countries. He is a member of the BFF (Berufsverband Freie Fotografen und Filmgestalter) and Freelens.

In 2010 he started his project FORTHRIGHT - Stronger than a weapon. FORTHRIGHT pictures 43 hip hop artists from Africa, Asia, the United States and Europe, all using their voice to speak up for peace and human rights. In Forthright Sascha Kraus portrays those musicians who do not only entertain their audi- ence but use their music and their lyrics as a tool to process their struggles and to actively do something against injustice. The pictures want to realize that we need the power of those individuals willing to risk something to make a change. Forthright was self published in 2016.

With his series ALL DAY HERO, Sascha Kraus shows portrait pictures of a being in a space suit, searching shelter and community. The space suit guarantees physical security at rst glance but then again he is perceived as a stranger, feeling unfamiliar. All Day Hero characterizes the search for community and harmony in an alien and new environment that is felt by countless.
